Volunteers play a critical role in our therapeutic riding lessons.

Little Britches relies heavily on volunteers from the community, they are essential to our function.

No experience is necessary!

From lessons to logistics, fundraising to coordinating, we have a place for you! 

Program Volunteer Responsibilities

Lessons run for approximately 3 hours per session.

• Leading horses

• Sidewalking & assisting riders

• Setting up for lessons

• Grooming & tacking of horses

2025

  • April 28 - June 21: Spring Session at 30 Tophet Road Farm

  • June 23 - August 15: Summer Session at 30 Tophet Road Farm

  • September 8 - November 1: Fall Session at 30 Tophet Road Farm

  • November 3 - December 12: Extended Fall Session at Shepaug HS

  • Winter Break begins December 13th!
