Meet Christian and Elizabeth

Meet Christian and his mom, Elizabeth Choung. Elizabeth knew her son Christian could benefit from therapeutic riding.  In college, she had volunteered as a side walker and saw firsthand the benefits of improving physical strength and facilitating sensory integration.

Today, thanks to your support,  Christian participates year round in the Little Britches riding program; both the outdoor therapeutic riding program  offered at the Tophet Road Farm and indoors at the Equine Center at the Shepaug Agriscience Academy at Shepaug Valley School. Christian has been riding for two years.

Your support is crucial. Please donate today.

Hear Elizabeth describe the qualities she sees in the Little Britches’ therapeutic riding program.

Thanks to your generosity, Little Britches provides therapeutic riding to over 101 riders from 27 area towns.   With your continued support, we can ensure that Christian will keep riding and continue to offer riders like Christian with the opportunity to improve their flexibility, balance, strength and coordination -and have fun too!

Caring for our seven horses and compensation for our certified instructors and therapists is expensive.

In order to offset the cost to our families in need, we appeal to our friends and donors to contribute to this worthwhile program throughout the year. We thank you for your continued support and generosity.
